I am not a runner. How will I keep up?
We offer five different walk/run groups within RUNCLUB to make sure that there is a pace and distance group that is perfect for you. We also offer power-walking and a very beginner walk/run option through our RUNCLUB+ program which you can learn about here.
No matter which group you choose, remember this: we ALL started somewhere. At some point, we ALL would have said of ourselves "I am not a runner". We will support, encourage and guide you through your first running steps to your first race.

Will I do "straight running" when I have attained my personal goals or at any point during my time with RUNCLUB?
We believe very strongly in a life-long commitment to a walk/run approach as it decreased your chances of injury and increases your ability to just slow down and enjoy running for what it is, rather than ending up seeing it as something you "must do". We believe running should always be fun and bring joy to your life. So in short, no ( :) ); however, walk breaks will become shorter and running intervals will become longer throughout the length of the clinic, in order to help you achieve your running goals.

I have run before but haven't been lately. Which group do I start in?
We recommend that you start in the distance and pace group that corresponds with your current level of activity and fitness. Once you have come out to a few sessions, you are always welcome to change the group you are in to increase or decrease the intensity based on your needs; you're never "stuck" in a group once you have signed up!

Are there any age limits?
We believe that 10 years of age is developmentally appropriate for our youngest runners, though if there is parental support and guidance, 9 years of age can be fine. There is no top age limit - we encourage you to run as long as your legs and heart will carry you.

I am a parent of young kids. Am I able to run with a stroller?
YES! We love kids at RUNClub and many of our coaches and tribe members regularly bring their kids. We believe that teaching your kids at a young age about the importance and joy of movement and leading by example is of utmost importance. Your kids will end up with more grandpa's, grandma's, aunts and uncles than they ever imagined when they become part of RUNClub. Plus, you get extra kudos for running with a stroller - it's hard work!

If I only register for either Sundays or Tuesdays, can I switch from one to the other if I need to?
Yes, but please give us the heads up! Send us a note to let us know.

There are goal races for most of the clinics; are the race costs covered in my registration?
Goal setting is a proven way to make progress in all areas of life, and in running this is no different. We love to set these goals to give you something to focus on during the hard runs (we all have them), but especially to give you an opportunity to celebrate your progress. Plus, our destination runs are a special opportunity to build life-long friendships and memories with our tribe. Any race that we support or organize to attend is an optional opportunity for you, and so any race or travel fees are separate from your RUNClub registration.

What if I can't make it to some of the sessions that I registered for?
That's a-ok! There is never any pressure at RUNClub, ever. We all miss sessions due to injury, illness, family-stuff, work, you name it - life. It happens and we get it! Come when you can and when you are gone, we will be so excited to have you back!

Do you do drop-in's?
In short, no. But let us explain why.
RUNClub is based on the theory of a 'closed group': a group that provides consistency, intimacy, and an important structure for growth. Many of our RUNClub coaches are social workers, counsellors and teachers, and we believe passionately in the positive opportunities that a 'closed group' provides. We believe they offer you:
Having a closed group is not meant to exclude anyone - we are 100% inclusive of everybody and every body at RUNClub. We are also passionate and dedicated to each and every participant in every clinic; we want you to stay injury free, have the best experience possible and become the very best version of yourself and we believe that a closed group approach provides us the best opportunity to do all of those things.
If you have never attended RUNClub before, we encourage you to come out and give it a try. You are more than welcome to come and run with us once for free, and then make a decision about registering; but we do need you to do just that to keep coming. Interested in doing this? Drop us a line to find out where we are running next; we would love to connect with you.

- a REAL experience and a chance to truly get to know one another because you see the same people every week; and
- safety in programming because we know that you are getting the proper training and the precise percentages of increase each week in your running program, which dramatically decreases your chances of injury.
